Okay, I'm on my 3rd PC in as many days that I've fixed using Firefox - this is due to Internet Explorer being broken and completely unfixable no matter how many times you try and reinstall it. (ooh look, you can get an Internet Explorer theme for Firefox so that people think they're still using Internet Explorer. Plus it seems to speed things up. link.)

yeah but you shouldn't have to reinstall windows because a program (IE) has stuffed up. defeats the purpose of being able to reinstall programs when they go faulty. yeah i know ms are a law unto themselves and wanted to make IE an integral part of windows, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. I'd rather get people to use firefox than IE. the windows side of things on all these PCs seems to be fine, it's just IE that's broken. (it's w2k).

Reinstalling windows and all the software takes ages compared to installing firefox. Plus why should they go back to windows+IE when it's (IE) likely to stuff up again? But yeah a ghost would be a quick way of doing it.
