Skype is great skype is fab. It lets you talk to your mates on the internet for free. You can do video calls too if you've got a webcam. joshwa 429 is my username if you wanna look me up.

it is completely free if you are calling someone else on the system. it is completely free if you are happy to sit in front of your computer with a mic and speakers.
you can pay money if you want to call land lines or mobiles. (1p for landlines, about 16p/min for mobiles). you can pay £20 for a year and get your own skype phone number and it'll go straigt to your pc (or skype device if you've got one). WAY cheaper than a landline rental of £10 a month (or more).
