a naked athlon 64
The computer world (generally, not "the Time group" computer world) is Freaky (with a capitol F): Dell and HP apparently make "white box" computers in this article here, which kinda makes sense because "white box" sales count for 30% of the market - which is more than Dell and HP etc sell.

So what I was thinking, since Dell are rejecting AMD (sort-of breaking news, in a "we already knew that would happen" kind of way, because of Intels nastiness, and also because HP are rejecting AMD too), all AMD need to do to get 30% of the market, is to get all these white box manufacturers / builders using AMD chips...

I suppose the only problem with AMD only being able to get into white box pcs it that the new Athlon 64s which are what will make AMD the most profit are unlikely to be used in white box pcs...

PS - This place is selling 21" monitors (probably Sony Trinitron tubes) for 59!
