Acacia Media Technologies owns patents on media streaming technologies / Digital Media Transmission. Either way it seems that you're going to have to be careful of how you send data (composed of compressed audio or video - possibly encoded using an algorithm unlike mp3 or mpeg) from one computer to another (or several) over the internet using a communications protocol that may support loss of some data blocks.. which is then decompressed and displayed / stored / hearable at another computer. So anyone got any idea of which parts in any of that could be patentable?
