pentium 4 EE (2.5mb cache) benchmarked at aceshardware.com (although you can't read it anymore, as it's under NDA) and is 2 - 15% faster depending on app. don't know what it's faster than by that amount coz i haven't looked yet. but there you go! :) ps - cheap good laptop for sale on ebay.co.uk.

Here's a quote about the performance that is possibly under NDA if you've signed up to the NDA... dunno. "As we expected the 2 MB L3-cache can not do any wonders for Games, which are somewhat cacheable but also need streams of new data (memory intensive). The best result is a 14% in Comanche, which is of course quite impressive, as it means the L3-cache pushes the 3.2 GHz to the level of a 3.7 GHz Pentium 4. Quite a few games give only a 5-6% performance increase. Whether or not the P4 3.2 GHz will be an interesting option for hard core games will depend on the pricetag."
