comment on '5 things SJ has mislead us about':

1. misleading - sounds alot like 'over-hyping', although in some cases it also sounds like 'we listen to every word he says and over analyse them and make our own conclusions, which can be mildly wrong'
2. with every misleading statement, you have to look at the intention of why he is talking. it is not good for the company where he says something (eg; wait and there will be 3ghz G5) and it doesn't come to pass, because people stop buying the 'low spec' machines anticipating new spec.
3. 'best designed' in apple speak does not mean 'easy to upgrade'. Laptops and in general apple computers except 'power mac' range are difficult to upgrade. Part of their design. But partly inconvenient too.
4. adb and other choices that are stupid. Yeah, sometimes they get it right - usb, and mostly they're either too late or too early with new technology (eg; they're giving up on firewire 800).. anyway. not misleading, just rubbish.
5. Video iPod.. seems that in 2004 Steve described all the problems with Video iPod and then in 2005 released the product with those problems.. How is that misleading?
6. Processor speed. see 2. not actually steve's fault, but apple suffer because of it.
7. the pixar thingy. Erm. no idea what that's about to be honest.
