Cool pics. the sky seems a bit white in some of them but i guess that's the way with digicams sometimes they don't have the dynamic range - othertimes people say they have better dynamic range than film.
Sky near horizon appears to be closer in colour to the clouds in the sky, so don't expect pure blue here, also smog and haze is normal in London - It wasn't a perfectly clear day. Also I have done some photoshop level editing on these pics, as they're not for the gallery.
yeah 702ab is particularly bad: 'average' mode metering, iso 80, 1/500th sec, f5.6, focal length '8'. Problem is the sky is particularly bright, I'm almost shooting directly into the sun at the top right, so those clouds are particularly bright. It's fairly easy in photoshop to see what would have happened if it had been a little less exposed - the table would have been a black silouhette. or a little less range, and the sky would be all white. 1/3rd or 2/3rd stop underexposing it could have corrected the sky.. but maybe get the silhouette effect.
On the photo of just the table and chairs (they fill the picture) there seems to be quite a bit of purple fringing.
check out the ricoh GX8 photos on the digicamreview gallery - it's the same, the sky is white in parts. same with Sony L1 (the gallery is on joshwaller.co.uk) - guess it's difficult to avoid.

close-up of optical weirdness : PIC
if you print out a grid - you can take a photo at wide angle and see how much 'barrel distortion' or 'pinchusioning' there is.
