The university wants to end degrees in music, chemistry and Italian, in a bid to save £1.5m. On Wednesday night the highest mock bid was £31,437 and the page had received more than 4,000 hits. The university has insisted the students will be able to finish their degrees in the affected departments. Despite this hundreds of students are planning to join a protest march against the cuts on Thursday."
