Hey, somehow, apple made a system with pentium M computer at 1ghz and 256mb of ram and a 40gb hard drive, and with a little work, it will run os X. Well done. It costs 199 pounds in the uk or 300 dollars in the USA. graphics accelleration currently not supported, and not sure how easy it is to upgrade the ram. Link. Also Engadget have done a benchmark.

Reminds me of the time Atari (stupidly) released the STFM for £149 or some-such low-price, meaning programmers had all the more reason to ignore the upgraded (and better) STE, further destroying the company's ability to get it's user-base to upgrade...
ANYWAY, it's obviously completely different because Apple don't seem to have actually released it as a proper computer, which is a shame, because I'd expect Apple market share to increase dramatically if they released this as a (real) computer, especially as it can run Max OS X properly, as it's got a proper CPU. It's probably quicker than the original G4 1.25ghz Mac Mini as well...
