"Seagate to buy Maxtor for $2 billion" Didn't Maxtor swallow up Quantum no so long ago?

    Yep this leaves us with:

    1st - Seagate(Maxtor(Quantum))

    5 year warranty on Seagate drives

    2nd - Western Digital
    ?3rd - Hitachi (previously IBM)
    ?4th - Samsung

    3 year warranty on Samsung drives.

    ?5th - Fujitsu SCSI drives (IDE devision died 03?)
    ?6th - Excelstor (remanufactured / rebadged IBM drives?)
