there's a number of opteron benchmarks at the inq.; here, here (this one shows "MTOPS" for all CPU configs, and includes results for 2ghz Opterons as well), and here the last one showing a dual Opteron 1.8ghz as twice as fast as a P4 at 3ghz, and also twice as fast as a dual Xeon 1.7ghz system.
